Purchased a new generator in January but had no idea of the maintenance or care. I popped in there and the service guys were fantastic. Old gas removed, thorough check over. All set for the season. It means a lot in these times to have reliable trustworthy service. These guys totally did that, thank you Joe and team.
The service department was great to work with. All the guys I worked with were very nice and throughly explained the issues with my bike. They were able to get me in quickly and their turn around time was amazingly short. Will definitely see them again if I have issues in the future.
Great guys and a great service. The only thing that needs work is communication, Saturday drop off to investigate an issue on a rideable bike but when I called to pick it up they were closed! Closed Sunday and Monday as well which meant I couldn’t get my bike until Tuesday! They are still in my opinion the best in the area.
Reynolds doesn't usually work on bikes like mine (Indian Scout), but How said they'd take a look at a minor electrical issue.
A couple of hours later, I was back on the road with the problem solved.
Vary happy with the work, price, and Devon (service desk when I got there) and Joe.
Great service! Pricy( but likely no more than others).
I’ve had good experience. My machine is kept at my camp a long way from home it’s important that service is done correctly the first time.
2021 Honda Pioneer 1000.
Thanks Dan Levecque
My experience with Reynolds so far has been good as far as the product and service provided, but some aspects of their communication could be better. I know it’s fairly typical of any dealership experience, but the ratio of “sales” people to people who actually process the paperwork to sell you a vehicle seems to be about 5:1, so if anyone else is buying something that day you’re going to wait a while. When you’ve already committed to purchasing a vehicle, it would improve the experience if they scheduled your pickup time so that you don’t have to wait around a while.
Recently, I was notified about a recall on my bike, and the person I spoke with at Reynolds said they’d let me know as soon as they had the parts in, which they expected would be soon. I waited a couple weeks and then called myself, and found out they had everything they needed, but hadn’t called me. I brought the bike in on Wednesday, 9/6, and received a call back the morning of 9/7 that my bike was ready to pick up. Since I planned on riding home, I had a friend give me a ride (I live about an hour away) only to be told the bike wouldn’t actually ready until the following day. It would improve the experience if they communicated better between the mechanics and the people making phone calls to avoid wasting the customer’s time like that.
Lastly, and perhaps this is a suggestion for Kawasaki, offering a loaner vehicle for recall work would be very much appreciated. With every new car I’ve ever owned, I was given a loaner car if recall work needed to be done. As I said before since I live a good distance away, being able to ride there and back would be much more convenient than getting a ride there/back from a friend, and showing up yesterday to find my bike wasn’t ready would have been just a nice motorcycle ride to Buxton and back rather than an annoyance.
I called and made a warranty appointment for the transmission on my VN1700. Drove 100 miles round trip on 1/6 because a buddy told me they were good. They call me on 1/10 and tell me they won't even submit my claim to Kawasaki because of my personal tire preference. I called Kawasaki corporate and was told that doesn't make sense..... I couldn't agree more. Kawasaki gave me a claim number and I went to pick up my bike and take it to the dealer they suggested. During my preflight checks before leaving the lot, I noticed they installed my key switch bezel upside down, admittedly drained my oil and put the old now contaminated oil back in because they didn't have permission to services it yet. And didn't hook up my fuel tank vent line. All of which I passed on to the new dealer when I rolled in.
If the service department can't do the simple things, I'm glade they decided to pass on submitting it.... I can only fathom what would of been missed if they split the case. Remember to always check your bike when someone else works on it. This is the reason I do all my own services.
Makes me glade I didn't buy that blue '22 goldwing I was looking hard at while I was there. First and probably the last experience with this dealer. I hope they get it together, definitely not a way to do business.
On a positive note: The salesmen Shawn I was dealing with, was awesome. Super helpful and attentive. Had me talked right into that Honda. Had me ready to part with 22k when I came back to pick up my bike, when it was repaired.
Cause and effect I guess, service department interaction saved me 22k live and learn.
Reply; I brought it there in a rain storm after a snow storm it wasn't going to be clean. The clutch pack and and clutch fluid were replaced last April, but nice try there. The engine oil had about 4k miles on it, so it was gonna be a bit dark. The engine and transmission share oil on this bike, and with a wet clutch oil gets discolored. My bet tension is set with the bike loaded. This way it wouldn't be overly tight when the suspension was loaded. Note: the bet gets tighter when you load the suspension. Tried to leave my maintenance records with you guys, but was told you didn't need it. I offered to bring the records back and was told it wasn't necessary. My problem was second gear grinding going into that gear and sometimes not staying in second gear and only second, I explained this to Scott.
I respectfully disagree on the oil, and the only things listed on the RO I received was two sealing washers (for the oil drain plugs) I'm guessing. And some coolant.... which now has to be flushed again because I run engine ice coolant.
Had a great experience with Reynolds. They got me through a jam and were very helpful in getting me back on the road. Had a mishap, a flat tire on the turnpike. Whew. Reynolds staff helped me feel comfortable leaving the bike there to be serviced in the morning. Good people and would recommend!
